self-help measures in dealing with your varicose veins...

Varicosities are caused by some obstruction in your blood flow to your heart and as a result, the blood will deposit in your veins before that said obstruction. Another reason for those ugly twisted veins is the over compression of your veins especially in your lower extremities. “Over compression” may be brought about by obesity, prolonged standing, and even by wearing very tight garters.

There are non-surgical or non-invasive treatments for varicose veins. First, (if you’re kinda obese) you must try to lose some weight. I mean YOU SHOULD!... when you have too much fat in your body, there is a higher chance that your blood vessels will also be accumulated with fats thus constricting its passage way leading to poor circulation and could result to varicosities. why don't you try to burn and sweat those lipids and oils away in exchange for a much better health advantage?

Secondly, don’t wear very tight garments! yeah... you might look good and sexy on those but they can also turn your most loved-legs into such a nightmare with all those twisted “cords” bulging out. Tight garters or any very tight attire can be very constrictive to your veins too.

Lastly, elevate your legs and avoid long periods of walking or standing. i got a friend who makes it a habit to raise her legs parallel to a wall (at least 15mins) before going to sleep. i guess it's a good practice in managing your varicose veins and prevent it from getting worse. it is also a good intervention for aching legs after long hours of standing or walking.

These treatments are easy and very practical. If I were you, I'll take this seriously than to seriously hurt and kill my wallet due to those expensive surgeries or operations. =)
